Practicum Four
Teacher Candidates complete the fourth practicum at a Laurier Partner School in Year
Two. Practicum four is a three-week placement during which Teacher Candidates take increasing
responsibility for lesson planning, instruction, and assessment. Under the supervision of the
Associate Teacher, Teacher Candidates begin the practicum by assuming responsibility for teaching
75% of the Associate Teacher’s instructional time and gradually work up to assuming responsibility
for teaching 100% of the time from the midpoint to the end of the practicum.
Prerequisites: Registration Status: BEd Program.
